Lewis’s Story
Music 4 U transforms lives through inclusive performing arts, empowering young people like Lewis – a phenomenal performer who thrives on entertaining crowds. Since 2005, Music 4 U has been transforming lives through the performing arts. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to break down barriers and provide a creative, inclusive space where young people can discover their voice, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. Our programmes – ranging from our flagship Sounds of Music course for 16–25-year-olds to a variety of workshops for younger participants – are delivered by dedicated professionals who understand that every individual’s journey is unique.
We invite you to watch Lewis’s story and see first-hand how Music 4 U has helped him flourish as a performer. His passion for the stage and ability to connect with audiences is truly inspiring, and his journey highlights the incredible impact of a supportive, creative environment.
We support so many young people with stories just like Lewis’s, meeting their complex individual needs, so they can perform on their own terms in a safe and welcoming space.
Without Music 4 U, Lewis wouldn't be able to grace the stage the way he does. We're dedicated to helping him and others like him shine and our adaptable and integrated approach ensures young performers like Lewis find joy, hope, and a sense of purpose through the magic of performance.
Lewis had his Licence to Thrill at Aberdeen Musical Theatre Orchestra’s spectacular Shaken Not Stirred concert at the Beach Ballroom.
With AMTO’s magnificent 38-piece orchestra behind him, Lewis hit the stage like Thunderball, blowing everyone away with his incredible rendition of the iconic Bond theme.
At Music 4 U, we believe in the power of music to transform lives, and Lauren’s journey is a shining example of that. Initially soft-spoken and shy, Lauren found her voice through our community, embracing the confidence and joy that music brings.
Lauren’s story is one of resilience and passion. Despite facing significant challenges, she discovered that music was not just a hobby but a lifeline - helping her to express herself, grow in confidence, and inspire others along the way.
In this video, Lauren shares her journey and what Music 4 U means to her. We hope her story encourages others to find their voice through music, just as she has.
Lauren’s Story
Imagine being told your child would never walk, never talk, never connect with the world around them. Imagine the weight of those words, the fear of the unknown.
And now, picture that same child standing before a crowd - singing, dancing and lighting up the room with a joy so powerful it’s impossible to ignore. This fantastic video of our participant Corey duetting with the show’s host during our One Night Only event isn’t just a magic moment; it’s a testament to everything he’s fought for and everything his family has hoped for. Everything that - thanks to the right support - became possible.
This is why we do what we do. This is why your support matters.
Every donation helps us give young people like Corey the opportunities and support they need to defy expectations and rewrite their futures.
