Music 4 U at Cowdray Hall's Big Birthday Bash!

Join us on the 27th of September 2025 for Cowdray Hall's Centenary Celebrations with a special performance of OUR ABERDEEN at 10:15am, sung by 100 Aberdeen schoolchildren in collaboration with Aberdeen City Music Service. First penned 18 years ago by our Founder & Creative Director, Debra Baxter, we are delighted that this anthem for Aberdeen’s young people is returning to the spotlight thanks to Aberdeen Archives, Gallery & Museums.

For Music 4 U this moment captures the very heart of our mission: empowering young voices and giving them a platform to be heard. Seeing the song pass from the charity to the wider community to be sung by a new generation is exactly how it was envisioned. With its lyrics echoing the city’s Fairer Future ambitions OUR ABERDEEN is a timeless anthem of hope and pride. Its next stop is The Big Sing in 2026 continuing its journey as a powerful celebration of youth, community and music!

As part of the Cowdray Hall celebrations, Music 4 U’s UpStage Performance Academy will also take to the stage at 1:00pm on the 27th September with a performance of songs from across the decades. Audiences can also catch OUR ABERDEEN again at 11:30am in Union Square Aberdeen followed by another special Music 4 U performance at 2:30pm.
